\nEntre les 1er juillet 2007 et 2008, \u00e0 la demande des associations contractantes, le Conseil f\u00e9d\u00e9ral a \u00e9tendu le champ d’application de 34 conventions collectives de travail (CCT) au niveau f\u00e9d\u00e9ral. Dans la m\u00eame p\u00e9riode, le D\u00e9partement f\u00e9d\u00e9ral de l’\u00e9conomie (DFE) a approuv\u00e9 19 arr\u00eat\u00e9s d’extension cantonaux. Le champ d’application de CCT nouvellement n\u00e9goci\u00e9es a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9tendu dans 6 \u00abd\u00e9cisions de base\u00bb (2 nationales, 4 cantonales). 29 autres d\u00e9cisions (24 nationales, 5 cantonales) ont concern\u00e9 des prorogations, des remises en vigueur ou des modifications de CCT. \u00a0Au 1er juillet 2008, 29 CCT nationales \u00e9tendues et 37 CCT cantonales \u00e9tendues \u00e9taient en vigueur. Les CCT nationales \u00e9tendues touchent au total 66497 employeurs et 492577 travailleurs; les CCT cantonales \u00e9tendues touchent 8164 employeurs et 73132 travailleurs. Les CCT \u00e9tendues les plus importantes concernent les h\u00f4tels, restaurants et caf\u00e9s ainsi que la retraite anticip\u00e9e du secteur principal de la construction en Suisse. Elles int\u00e9ressent \u00e0 elles seules quelque 35668 employeurs et 303665 travailleurs.
